If you're seeing a black screen or getting an error attempting to record a welcome video or video content, here are a few settings you can check:
Browser Settings - Confirm that your browser is allowing camera and microphone access from the platform. For example, in Chrome go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Site Settings to see the options. You may have accidentally clicked to not allow when prompted the first time.
You can also check if it is browser-specific by opening the platform and attempting to record a video in another browser.
Computer Settings - Confirm that your computer's security settings allow recording access for different applications. For example, on a Mac go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Camera to confirm you have allowed certain applications to access your camera.
Camera Settings - Confirm that you are connected to the expected camera on your machine. You may see a camera icon in your browser letting you know the page is accessing your camera. If your screen is black, click on the icon or other options you may have to confirm which microphone and camera should be used. You may need to refresh the page after updating the settings.
