Using the Google Drive Content Sync

Updated over a year ago

Save time with our Google Drive integration by only having to update content in one place. When uploading a file from Google Drive, you'll have the option to sync with Google Drive or only upload once. Here's a breakdown of the options:

Sync with Google Drive

  • Manually publish updates
Every hour, changes made to the file in Google Drive will be automatically detected by Enable Us, but no changes will be made to the content until the content owner or admin manually publishes the latest version. See more about this process below.

  • Automatically publish updates
Every hour, changes made to the file in Google Drive will be automatically detected and synced to Enable Us in the Library and in any rooms or links where this file is shared.

Don't sync with Google Drive

  • Do not sync updates
This is the default option. None of the changes made to the file in Google Drive will be reflected in Enable Us unless a new version is uploaded in the Library or content uploaded only to the Room is deleted and replaced.

Using the 'Manually publish updates' Option

If you choose "Manually publish updates", the content owner may receive up to one email a day if there is content pending review. The email will contain a link to see what needs review.

You have two locations to publish the latest version of content:

1) Publish the latest version of a single content item from the Content Details page

2) Publish multiple content items in bulk from the three dots menu as shown below.
Note: The bulk publish option is only available if you've selected all content set to "Manually publish updates" and if those items have a newer version in Google Drive.
